Annual Corporate Charity Day
The teams compete for a number of prizes. Raffle tickets go on sale around mid-April, but the real winners are the three local charities.
A big thank you goes to our loyal Charity Sponsors, Home Gas Supplies, the SPGC Charity Committee members, club members and all those who regularly get involved in making such a difference to people's lives.

SPGC Charity Day 2019
24 Fourballs took part in the annual Charity Golf Day at Stonyhurst Park on a dry sunny May day. Major sponsor Home Gas, contributed 10 teams to the event, enjoying a barbeque breakfast, great golf followed by lunch at the Shireburn Arms.
Many of the afternoon teams were led by playing members inviting business colleagues and friends to enjoy the club's friendly atmosphere. Again, a barbeque lunch, on course refreshments and an excellent dinner at the Shireburn Arms were enjoyed by all.
Charitable donations from the players were bolstered by money raised from on course events, a raffle and a spectacular charity auction. Auctioneer, Jason Rawson helped raise over £1800 with a star prize of a fourball golf day at Championship course Hillside making an individual contribution of £530.
Our Charities were present on the day to raise awareness, helping to loosen the purse strings and raise the charitable donations. They were:-
Dan's Trust - supporting research into sudden death from heart arrhythmia and local children's sporting ambitions.
PHAB - A national club-based charity, with locally based Whalley PHAB providing weekly and holiday support to disadvantaged and disabled children.
Foundation for Ribble Valley Families - Providing early intervention and on-going support to families with mental health problems.
Winners
Winners of the golf competition were Home Gas sponsored team, BAXI with 87 stableford points, followed by Salesbury Cricket Club team with 84 points.
